Artista gaúcha inaugurou a exposição “Arquivo Brächer: fotografias em processos históricos”, com curadoria de Letícia Lau
Na última semana, o espaço de Andréa Brächer ficou movimentado por conta de duas ocasiões especiais, que receberam amigos da artista e diversos nomes ligados à arte e à cultura no Rio Grande do Sul. Andréa realizou um Open Studio, na última quinta (7) e no sábado (9), como uma oportunidade de apresentar trabalhos selecionados de seu acervo em uma grande exposição. Durante os dois dias, convidados puderam conferir “Arquivo Brächer: fotografias em processos históricos”, mostra com curadoria de Letícia Lau, que ajudou a receber o público por lá.
O projeto exibiu obras das séries “Ygapó” (2023), “(Des)encantada” (2023), “Querida Erna” (2022) e “Ficções de Um Jardim” (2019), além de vídeos da artista referentes às mesmas exposições. As obras, produzidas em técnicas tradicionais como cianotipia, marrom Van Dyck e photogenic drawing, dialogam com paisagens naturais e florestas simbólicas, mergulhando no sonho e transitando entre o resgate da memória e sua criação. Algumas dessas imagens já foram exibidas em importantes instituições culturais pelo Brasil e, agora, podem ser conferidas no espaço da artista em Porto Alegre — os agendamentos podem ser feitos pelo telefone (51) 99371-4845, com Paula Ximenes Londero.
— Meu trabalho tem duas vertentes, uma com os processos históricos e alternativos da fotografia, outra, com arquivos fotográficos. Meu trabalho de base fotográfica procura refletir sobre o universo onírico, por vezes, fantasmático, de fabulações, invenções e de sonhos, e mais recentemente, com questões da memória familiar a partir de arquivos fotográficos — explica a artista.
Sobre Andréa Brächer
Andréa Brächer é artista, pesquisadora e docente no Instituto de Artes da UFRGS. Especializou-se na área dos Processos Fotográficos Históricos e práticas híbridas digitais. Indicada três vezes ao Prêmio Açorianos de Artes Plásticas, premiada para o Salão de Arte Latino-americano do Museu de Arte de Santa Maria e selecionada para o 23° Salão de Artes Plásticas da Câmara Municipal de Porto Alegre (2022) e para o Prêmio Porto Seguro de Fotografia (2004). Fundadora e coordenadora do Grupo Lumen/UFRGS (2016). Participou de exposições individuais e coletivas, em galerias e museus brasileiros e do Exterior, e tem obras em acervos públicos e privados.
